Idiot's Guide to using BCR2000 with BC Modular

What hardware and software do you use to control or be controlled by BC Modular?

Idiot's Guide to using BCR2000 with BC Modular

PostMon May 06, 2013 8:18 pm

Hi all,

As many of you know, sharc and I have been working on putting together a wiki to support the BC Modular package. It's starting to take shape now and one of the sections I've created describes how to get started using a Behringer B-Control Device with the BC Modular package. You can find the first part here (the second and third parts are linked from it): Idiot's Guide to using BC Modular with a Behringer B-Control Device - Part 1.

If anyone has a chance to try out the guide and provide any feedback on the content, it would be really appreciated. I'm working on adding some more pages about how to use the Control Presets for the BCM Modules and also how to configure presets on the BCx2000 using BC Manager.

Thanks,
Will

My Mom sent me 5 benjamins, my kid just called me and wished me a happy BDay, and this contribution from yuse guys saves me from public embarassment, so thanks so much.
Great stuff, really.

Managed to borrow a BCF2000 from a friend and have created the equivalent Preset for that here: BCF2000-BCM-48-BCM-8-BCM-16.syx. It works in exactly the same way as the BCR one, just with fewer CCs.

I'll update the Idiot's guide to cover the BCF too when I get a chance, or create a second one.

That is very considerate of you chief.
I am getting a BCR2000 because of the extra knobs.
It's great to have the Sliders, but having both I believe would suit me best.

Thanks for the time and effort Will.
fwiw, if it helps any, I use everything I learn here and over at the other 2 forums live.
So these efforts are being used frequently, so again...Ankyu 8-)

Part II is just as sweet as part I. I can begin to hopefully use USB Mode 3 live as that's what I want.

Thanks Again Guys.

I managed to get everything working, tested the input and output meters, but it seems for me to use Scope the way I want to, I can't use the USB 3 Mode.
But perhaps once I understand how BCM and the BCF 2000 work together, maybe the Sharc Sheels with all of the new I/Os can redistribute the data the way I need.

Fingers Crossed....

It's possible you will need to use a different USB mode if you have more complicated routing needs. Can you explain what you are trying to do?

I've updated my original post to refer to the new tutorial page that now covers both BCR2000 and BCF2000. Let me know if you spot any problems with the pages.
