M4L on ableton 64 bit on Mac

PostSat Jan 02, 2016 10:32 pm

Hello
I was trying to install Scopesync M4L on Ableton 9.5 on my MBP, going to my scope via ADAT .

I maneged to install it but I'm not seeing any action in Live's VU meters when modulating ScopeSync16 control.
I also got the latest Java update

Here a screenshot of the M4L editor:

Looks like there's some Java issues on Mac. See this thread: https://cycling74.com/forums/topic/whic ... for-max-7/ It may be possible to recompile the java external under an earlier JDK version, so I'll look into that when I get a chance.

Just to let you know though, we're deprecating the dedicated M4L component in the next version of ScopeSync, when we move to OSC as a communication method. This is because you can use the udpsend and udpreceive modules that come with M4L to send and receive OSC messages. sharc also just had some success compiling an Audio Unit version of the plugin, which will be a good alternative, as then you'll be able to take advantage of the GUI design features.

Let us know if you'd be interested in early beta testing of the new version.
